Infection Control Essentials for NDIS Support Workers

This course is used to equip support workers with essential knowledge and practical skills in infection control, helping them protect vulnerable participants and themselves while maintaining safe, hygienic work practices in compliance with Australian standards. 

No prerequisites are required 

Basic Language, literacy and numeracy skills in English (LLN)

Module 1: Introduction to Infection Control in Disability support

Module 2: Recognising Common Infections

Module 3: Understanding Transmission of Infections

Module 4: Standard and Additional Precautions in Daily Practice

Module 5: When Standard Precautions Are Not Enough

Module 6: Responding to Infection Risks in NDIS Settings

Module 7: Reporting and Documentation
