Core Units Package - Diploma Of Cosmetic Tattoo

This package include the below units

1. SHBBCOS001 – Provide Cosmetic Tattoo Consultations
Learn how to consult with clients, assess contraindications, design treatments
for brows, lips, eyelids, areola, or scalp, and obtain informed consent.

2. SHBBCOS002 – Apply Colour Theory & Pigmentology
Understand pigment ingredients, skin tone compatibility, colour correction, and
how pigment behaves under the skin to ensure long-lasting, natural results.

3. SHBBCOS003 – Design Principles for Cosmetic Tattooing
Explore how to apply the elements and principles of design to create
symmetrical, flattering cosmetic tattoos tailored to client preferences.

4. SHBBSSC004 – Skin & Hair Anatomy for Tattooing
Gain knowledge of skin and hair structure to inform treatment choices, avoid
complications, and support client aftercare.

No prerequisites are required 

Basic Language, literacy and numeracy skills in English (LLN)
Victorian Student Number (VSN) - Victoria only:
VSNs are issued to all students enrolled in Victorian schools and to students enrolled at a TAFE or
in an accredited course with an RTO.

1. SHBBCOS001 – Provide Cosmetic Tattoo Consultations

• Determine Contraindications and precautions
• Consult with client
• Design tattoo

2. SHBBCOS002 – Apply Colour Theory & Pigmentology

• Select colour based on knowledge of the colour wheel.
• Research information about pigments and pigmentology.
• Research and identify skin undertones and Fitzpatrick skin types as it applies to cosmetic
  tattooing.
• Research colour correction.
• Select colour for cosmetic tattoos
• Perform colour correction.

 3. SHBBCOS003 – Design Principles for Cosmetic Tattooing

• Confirm client requirements for cosmetic tattoo design.
• Explore cosmetic tattoo design elements and principles to inform concept.
• Produce simple drawings of cosmetic tattoo designs.
• Develop cosmetic tattooing designs.
• Identify and evaluate appropriate process and cosmetic
  tattooing techniques to achieve design.
• Finalise cosmetic tattoo design.

4.SHBBSSC004 – Skin & Hair Anatomy for Tattooing

• Integrate information about skin and
  skin structures into cosmetic tattooing.
• Apply information about skin conditions and contraindications to planning cosmetic tattooing.
• Apply knowledge of skin to determine cosmetic tattooing treatments, care and aftercare.
• Update and maintain knowledge of skin anatomy and physiology.

This unit is completed by self-paced work online.
