To obtain your accredited certification in Scalp Micropigmentation, you must first obtain the below certifications.

  • HLTINF005 or SHBBINF002 Infection Control certification

Four core units.

  1. SHBBCOS001 – Provide Cosmetic Tattooing Consultations
  2. SHBBCOS002 – Apply Knowledge of Colour Theory and
    Pigmentology to Cosmetic Tattooing
  3. SHBBCOS003 – Incorporate Elements and Principles of Design
    to Cosmetic Tattooing
  4. SHBBSSC004 – Identify the Function and Structure of Skin and
    Hair for Cosmetic Tattooing

Once these requirements are met, you will attend practical training and complete the SHBBCOS007 -SMP unit with Caitlin.

The HLTINF005 Maintain Infection Prevention for Skin Penetration Treatments is designed to provide the skills and knowledge required to maintain infection prevention during skin penetration treatments and to review clinic compliance with the applicable state or territory and local council requirements. It requires the ability to identify, manage and control infection risks to clients, self and work colleagues. This unit applies to professionals of skin penetration industry.

Student Requirements

Basic Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) Skills in English

Victorian Student Number (VSN) – Victoria Only:
A VSN is assigned to all students enrolled in Victorian schools, as well as those studying at a TAFE or in an accredited course with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Unique Student Identifier (USI):
A USI is required for all students enrolling in nationally recognized training in Australia.
